The Pheasant Hotel, Wokingham

The hotel is in a convenient location close to the station, catering to local 'lads' but offering a quiet stay. The rooms, while a bit shabby, were clean, although I found an old toenail in my bed. The service, including employees from Triumph bike dealership nearby, was accommodating and not pushy despite an early checkout. The dining was basic with limited options, but breakfast was included. Facilities need a little touch-up, but the price is acceptable for what you get.

The hotel is conveniently located near Winnersh Railway Station, making it ideal for overnight stays close to the M4. The rooms, although spacious and clean, need some maintenance, and there was an issue with the lack of hot water for a bath. The friendly service and local knowledge provided a warm welcome. Dining was satisfactory, and the outdoor setting added to the experience.
